Does force APM 1.0 mode work?
Action:
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

6) Select 'Advanced Power Management Support'.
NOTE: If you don't see a listing for 'Advanced Power Management Support', the computer does not support these features.
7) Click 'Properties'. (The 'Advanced Power Management Support Properties' dialog box appears.)
8) Click the 'Settings' tab.
9) Select the 'Enable power management support' check box.
10) Select the 'Force APM 1.0 Mode' check box.

NOTE: Enabling this option will force Windows 95 to use an APM 1.1 BIOS in 1.0 mode.
11) Click 'OK'.
12) Click 'Yes' when prompted to restart the computer.
13) Contact the computer manufacturer for a BIOS that supports APM.
